A b o u t    T h e    P h o t o g r a p h e r

 

Both photography and art have been passions since (my) time began. A long list of photography and art equipment has passed through my hands, including brownie and polaroid cameras, paintbrushes and stained-glass cutters. Without light, color, inspiration and music, i don't know how i would ever express myself.

Whether photographing luxury homes, developments, golf courses or the beauty of nature, I am always thrilled by the hunt for good light.

These days, my love of the quiet and solitude in nature pushes me into the backwaters of Southwest Florida in my kayak - and along solitary trails stretching from Alaska to California to North Carolina and beyond. It is in these places that I find treasures beyond measure - good light, willing birds, dramatic skies and some of the most lovely scenery on earth. I feel especially fortunate to navigate this area's waters in this time in history, for the wild spots in florida are disappearing quickly.

The "dance of light" is the secret to all great photography and art, perhaps best explained by the poet, Milton, when he described tripping (dancing) the light fantastic.
